Aviation ID - Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Overview

Aviation ID is a data processor that provides a service that enables you to log onto a variety of online services provided by companies with which you or your employer have a business relationship. Each of these service-providing companies has its own policy with regard to how your personal data is processed and those policies can be reviewed by accessing the privacy link provided with each service. Your personal information was entered into Aviation ID by you or an administrator working for your employer. Aviation ID processes your personal information to authenticate your identity, route you to the services you are authorized to use, monitor the security of the connections that are established, contact you regarding any issues with your use of the service, and improve the quality, reliability and usefulness of Aviation ID. This processing is based upon you or your employer’s legitimate interests in efficiently connecting you to services you or your employer has arranged for you to use as well as the legitimate interest of the service providers in the security and usefulness of their services. Your personal data is accessible by your employer. It is also accessible by the companies operating the Aviation ID service (Boeing and Exostar) as well as by the companies providing services.

Storage Locations

Your personal data is stored in the United States, but is transferred to the locations of the service providers and to the locations of your employer.

Information Retention

Data will be retained as long as it continues to be used for the purposes described above, and for seven years thereafter.

Information Removal, Access, Updates and Objections

You have the right to remove your personal information from Aviation ID. If you wish to remove your information from Aviation ID, you may access your record and delete the information in it, or you can contact your employer to have the information removed. If you wish to change your information, you may do so via self-service, or you may ask your employer to change it. If you wish to object to processing, you should inform your employer, if they, rather than you, provided the information to Aviation ID. If you wish to move your information to a different service, you should access your record and print the web page to use as a reference.
